Crossroads: Where teens turn themselves around

Every year, hundreds of English-speaking youth in Israel end up on the streets. The Crossroads Center, located in the heart of downtown Jerusalem, runs the sole intervention program targeting these at-risk Anglo teens. We offer them an alternative to the drugs and violence of street life, the support they need to start over, and the services that will get their lives back on track.

Fifteen-year-old Shlomo is the eldest of five children in an English-speaking, ultra-Orthodox family. Two years ago, he was brought to the Crossroads Center by some of his Beit Shemesh peers, youth connected with Crossroads who saw that Shlomo needed help. His childhood was not an easy one.
